Application of the Logic model in Health
During the time of 2001-2004, the Center for Health and Public Service Research of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University worked extensively with community coalitions providing technical assistance on logic model development and using logic models as a tool for program monitoring and evaluation. These programs and evaluations included but were not limited to the following: US Department of Health & Human Services, Community Access Program (tries to mend the gap between the un- and under insured), and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Childhood Asthma Initiative.
The logic model as mentioned before is not strictly connected with one segment of health or even the general topic of health. It has become such an effective tool that the application of such a model is universal; a great tool. A very many universities contribute to the application of the logic model in health including the University of WI, University of MI, University of Toronto's Center for Health Promotion, University of Idaho and countless more.
